owner | planner + designer
Born and raised in Arizona, I’m a true desert girl at heart. I love Prosecco, peonies, kitchen dance parties with my kids, date nights with my husband and binge watching Fixer Upper. My personal style is classic with a fresh and modern edge.
I’m a planner, a doer, a “make things happen” kind gal. I take great pride in maintaining poise under pressure and I am true believer that every problem has a solution. I love milestone celebrations and I find it a true honor and joy to walk with my clients during one of the most important times in their lives.
My passion for the events industry began while attending the University of Arizona (Bear Down!) where I planned and coordinated campus wide ministry and nonprofit events. After college I was a hotel sales and catering manager and a non profit event planner. After several years in the events and hospitality industry Crain & Co. Events was born. While my business has grown and changed over the years my mission has remained the same - to create stunning, timeless and stress-free events while caring for my clients every step of the way.
WORDS TO LIVE BY: "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations." - Charles Swindoll
FAVORITE FOOD: Pizza and tacos (I like to keep it healthy).
FAVORITE WEDDING CAKE FLAVOR: Anything chocolate with sugary buttercream frosting.
FAVORITE FLOWER: Peonies, ranunculus, and poppies.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT COORDINATING EVENTS: Collaborating with my clients to capture their vision and to celebrate their marriage is a true honor and joy... it just does not get much better than that.
FAVORITE PART OF A WEDDING DAY: Being with a bride and her father before they walk down the aisle makes me feel weepy. Watching dad as he gets ready to walk his dear daughter into the rest of her life, watching the bride as her joy and anticipation nearly makes her burst and finally taking a peek at the groom while he waits for his bride. It’s a huge moment and I get a very special backstage pass.
I’m a newlywed myself so most of my time is spent with my husband and working on DIY projects around our home, going to the gym and playing on a volleyball league. My mom is my number one inspiration and I have been blessed with her gift of hospitality.
As a little girl I always dreamed of becoming an event planner and I’m so thrilled that the dream has come true. I pride myself on my strong work ethic and organizational skills. I love to meet new people, get to know them and their style and have the opportunity to help them throughout the coordination aspects of their events.
WORDS TO LIVE BY: Jesus is Always Better.
FAVORITE FOOD: My mom’s taco salads.
FAVORITE WEDDING CAKE FLAVOR: Is cheesecake an option?! Red velvet is a close second.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT COORDINATING EVENTS: There are too many things I love about coordinating! I love seeing the uniqueness of each couple come through in different ways; being able to see a room transformed, networking with new people and just the multitasking of handling all the little details.
FAVORITE PART OF A WEDDING DAY: It’s such a fun moment when the wedding party and new Mr. and Mrs. are formally introduced into the reception.
While I was born and raised in Tucson I have a heart for travel and thankfully my husband and I are both blessed with large extended families that reach all corners of the U.S. I love antique hunting, creative DIY projects with my toddler, stationery, beautiful organization inspirations, and anything involving a sunny Arizona day with my family.
In my mid 20's I made a lifelong dream come true and opened a successful bridal boutique. It was there that my passion for event planning truly came alive. Working with families and helping them plan such important events in their lives truly fills my heart with joy. I love helping a client take a small idea and turn it into a spectacular reality.
WORDS TO LIVE BY: “Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see the greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself.” - Edmund Lee
FAVORITE FOOD: My Grandmother's homemade tortillas.
FAVORITE WEDDING CAKE FLAVOR: I am a sucker for anything with a fresh fruit topping.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT COORDINATING EVENTS: Focusing on all the beautiful little details.
FAVORITE PART OF A WEDDING DAY: When the Bride's parents see her for the first time. It's magical.
