McCormick Ranch Golf Club Wedding, Scottsdale, AZ

To say Rachel holds a special place in my heart is an understatement. We go back several years when she was a junior/senior at The University of Arizona as my intern. She was actually my first intern and goodness did I hit the jackpot! First, this amazing gal had worked at a bridal shop so she came to me with a wealth of knowledge about wedding dresses… she seriously sewed in a bustle for our bride at her first wedding with me! Like, WHAT?! Second, she was comfortable working with and around brides. On top of all that, Rachel is just real and sweet and I was beyond lucky to have her on my team.

Fast forward a few years later, Rachel got in touch with me about wedding planning after her and Rob got engaged. I truly felt so honored to be considered! Let’s be honest, Rachel probably didn’t need a lot of help… at the time she was still working in the wedding industry and has an amazing design eye and is extremely organized; however, she saw the benefit of having a professional come in to take some of the legwork off her plate and, of course, manage the actual wedding day.

Rachel and Rob decided on McCormick Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale for their venue. The January wedding was modern with a black and white base palette, pastel florals and some marble accents. Their chuppah structure was copper pipping with an asymmetrical floral treatment. We added extra drape panels and a greenery chandelier above the reception dance floor and tables were adorned with mixed candle vessels, pastel florals, acrylic table numbers and black chiavari chairs. Everything was just so chic and pretty and the details really came out beautifully.

Rachel, I’m not sure if you’ll read this, but thank you for bringing me along in your wedding planning journey and thank you for being such a genuine, kind, thoughtful and beautiful person… this world is lucky to have you. Lots of love and happy wishes to you and Rob!
